The first market day was a huge success! Read the Cortland Standard coverage of Opening Day. Featured were spring salad greens, kale, chard, spinach, garlic, strawberries, pasture-raised chicken, seed potatoes, maple syrup products, honey, a variety of baked goods, fresh cut-flower bouquets, potted perennial and vegetable plants, all-natural soaps, lotions, and spa products, and ecologically friendly home-cleaning products. All grown or produced right here in Cortland County!
Coffee Mania was on hand to provide coffee by the cup and locally roasted specialty coffees for us to take home and enjoy throughout the week.
A variety of baked goods including scones and cinnamon buns were available from Red Rose Farm and Edgewood Bakery and Farm.
Holistic Hands Therapeutic Massage and Aroma Therapy offered chair massages and we saw an number of relaxed and happy people walk away from that tent!
At 10:30 a.m., Amy and Allen performed their fiddle and guitar music. What a hit!
Susan Prier of Cooperative Extension provided a cooking demonstration featuring an outrageous Mexican coleslaw enjoyed by all.
We were pleased to welcome our community organization to the Market this week:
